During the weekend of 17th and 18th May 2019, myself and a few other University of Cumbria Film and Television students had the pleasure of working with Sean McGinty and the BBC to capture the scenes from Highest Point Festival. We were mainly working on the BBC Introducing stage, filming the acts and doing interviews with each of them after their set. It was a truly memorable experience, having met and worked with some wonderful people to capture the true nature of the festival. We were also able to go around the festival filming acts on all stages, capturing the public enjoying themselves and getting backstage access to the stages to enhance the festivities and get the musical acts at their best. This was my first time filming at a festival so it was quite daunting to begin with but it was a lot of fun and a great pleasure to be a part of. I would love to do more in the future!
